The Quality Child Care Expansion Project
Welcome to the Department of Defense Quality Child Care Expansion Project (“Expansion Project”). The Department of Defense is working with the Council on Accreditation to identify and support civilian quality child care providers who serve military families.
There is no cost to participate in the Expansion Project and all providers who participate in the project are eligible to receive free training to improve their program’s level of quality. Qualified providers may also be eligible for additional benefits in the form of equipment, supplies, facility improvements, additional trainings or subsidy payments for the child care space for eligible Department of Defense children. In addition, a list of Approved Providers will be posted on the Military OneSource website at www.militaryonesource.com and will be available through the 24-hour, seven-day-a-week referral line at 1.800.342.9647.
