Project Benefits

There are no direct costs to providers who apply to join the Department of Defense Quality Child Care Expansion Project.

After completing the application process, providers will be assigned placement within a three-tiered level of quality programs (Project Tiers). All providers are eligible to receive training to improve their program’s level of quality. Some of the available training topics are based on the Effectiveness Rating and Improvement System (ERIS) standards and are designed to facilitate the successful completion of the ERIS tool. Qualified providers may also be eligible for additional benefits in the form of equipment, supplies, facility improvements, additional training or subsidy payments for the child care space for eligible Department of Defense children. A list of Approved Providers will be posted on the Military OneSource website at www.militaryonesource.com and will be available through their 24-hour, seven-days-a-week referral line at 1.800.342.9647.
