ERIS Compliance

There are two levels of review: a desk review and a site visit. Each requires demonstration of implementation of the standards through either submission of documentation and/or observation on site. The specific requirements for each review are outlined in the separate columns in ERIS standards.

The column labeled "documentation" lists all documents that COA will use to evaluate a program’s implementation of standards. These documents are provided to COA when the ERIS is submitted and will be used in the desk review.

The column labeled "On-Site Documents" lists evidence that the Child Care Reviewer will review during the site visit. COA will use this documentation and Child Care Reviewer observations to verify implementation of the ERIS standards.
